Houston Symphony presents "Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto"

To open Houston Symphony's Centennial Classical Season, pianist Kirill Gerstein returns to Houston to perform Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1. The evening will come to a conclusion with militant trumpets as the Consular Army marches along the Appian Way in Respighi's Pines of Rome. The program also includes Verdi's Overture to La Forza del Destino and Debussy's Prelude to The Afternoon of a Faun.
