Former Houston Symphony music director Christoph Eschenbach returns to conduct two evenings of music from one of his favorite composers. Mahler's Symphony No. 8 is commonly referred to as the Symphony of a Thousand due to the huge number of performers required on stage.
More than 250 musicians, chorus members and vocal soloists join together.
