Lost for several decades after it was written, Florence Price’s tone poem Ethiopia’s Shadow in America traces the historical experiences of enslaved Africans in America. The evening culminates with Tchaikovsky’s fiery Fourth Symphony, one of the most beloved symphonies of all time.
