Beatlemania officially arrived in Houston 50 years ago this summer when Sir Paul, John, George and Ringo first performed at the Sam Houston Coliseum in 1965. As a tribute, the Houston Symphony is kicking off the 2015-2016 season with an all-out Beatles celebration.

The first half of the program features the entire Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band album, which is ranked #1 on Rolling Stone magazine’s list of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time.” The second half will salute the biggest hits of the band’s astounding career, such as “Let It Be,” “All You Need Is Love” and “Eleanor Rigby.”

Pop sensation Rajaton (pronounced Rah-yah-tann), a vocal sextet from Finland, will join the symphony to give a fresh take on some of the world’s most influential music.
