Houston Symphony presents "Celebrating Black Composers: Ellington, Hendrix, Price & More"

Houston Symphony pays homage to over a century of Black artists, from classical music to ragtime, jazz, classic rock, and beyond. Jimi Hendrix’s “Purple Haze,” Scott Joplin’s “The Entertainer,” Florence Price’s “Juba” Dance, and more will be performed. The program will also feature violinist Rainel Joubert performing music from Joseph Bologne’s Violin Concerto in D major.

This all-ages Saturday morning concert comes with kid-friendly activities, including the popular Instrument Petting Zoo.
