Houston Symphony presents Beethoven's Fifth Symphony

Hear the opening four-note attention-grabbing theme of Beethoven's Fifth Symphony and you'll instantly know why it is considered one of the most influential pieces of music ever written. This performance kicks off Three Weeks of Beethoven with Andrés Orozco-Estrada and begins a three-year cycle of all nine Beethoven symphonies.

Lalo's Symphonie espagnole will features brilliant Spanish violin melodies performed by concertmaster Frank Huang.

Note: The performance scheduled for Nov. 16, 7:30 p.m., will be held at Rice University's Stude Concert Hall.
