Originally intended for Napoleon, Eroica is threaded with epic drama and revolutionary genius. Beethoven's third symphony exhibits qualities of his middle period and bridges the gap between the classical and romantic periods.
Sallinen's Fanfare and Liszt's Piano Concerto No. 1 will also be performed.
