Andrés Orozco-Estrada leads a program of music from the Americas, featuring Revueltas’ serpentine tone poem, Sensemayá and Piazzolla’s brooding Tangazo. Principal Double Bass Robin Kesselman also performs a virtuoso concerto by the legendary Serge Koussevitzky, while the raucous rhythms and gorgeous melodies of Bernstein’s Symphonic Dances from West Side Story bring the program to a close.
