These performances are part of a special two-week festival celebrating the outstanding tenure of Andrés Orozco-Estrada in his final year as Music Director.
This concert will feature Ravel’s mesmerizing Boléro; Oscar-nominated composer Bruce Broughton's new Horn Concerto, featuring Symphony Principal William VerMeulen; the Texas premiere of Wynton Marsalis’s new Tuba Concerto, an exhilarating fusion of classical and jazz, featuring Principal Tuba Dave Kirk; and Gershwin’s jaunty, jazz-infused An American in Paris.
The Sunday performance will be available to livestream.
