The Houston Symphony will give the gift of music to Houston families this holiday season with a free community concert.
Led by guest conductor Ming Luke, the program will include holiday favorites and feature members of the CityWide Grassroots Chorus and Church Without Walls Choir. Luke is a versatile conductor who has worked with musical ensembles all over the world. He will lead the orchestra and the chorus singers in a festive program that will commence with a joyous holiday overture and will include several flavors of Christmas music, including "Caribbean Sleigh Ride," traditional classics "Joy to the World" and "Carol of the Bells," and gospel favorites "Go, Tell It on the Mountain" and "Jesus, O What a Wonderful Child."
