Join Houston Symphony as it kicks off its Centennial Season with this traditional summer concert series featuring outstanding artists and conductors.

June 22 - "Mozart and Scheherezade"
Robert Franz leads a concert featuring 2013 Sphinx Competition winner, cellist Christine Lamprea, in Tchaikovsky's Variations on a Rococo Theme for Cello and Orchestra. Also on the program are Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherezade and Mozart's Symphony No. 31 "Paris."

June 28 - Schumann's Symphony No. 4
Case Scaglione conducts a concert featuring pianist Kuok-Wai Lio in Mendelssohn's Piano Concerto No. 1. Also on the program are Tchaikovsky's Overture to Romeo and Juliet
and Schumann's Symphony No. 4.

June 29 - Brahms' Symphony No. 1
Aziz Shokhakimov leads a concert featuring the Silver Medalist of the 2013 Houston Symphony Ima Hogg Competition. The program includes Verdi's Overture to La Forza del Destino and Brahms' Symphony No. 1.

This is a ticketed event for the covered seating area. Free tickets are available (four per person over age 16 while they last) at the Miller Outdoor Theatre box office the day of the performance between the hours of 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. If tickets remain at 1 p.m., the box office will re-open one hour before show time to distribute the remaining tickets. Open seating on the hill is always available.
