Houston Symphony presents Exxon Mobil Summer Symphony Nights

This summer, the Houston Symphony returns with five concerts, including their annual Fourth of July celebration, Star-Spangled Salute. The family-friendly "Exxon Mobil Summer Symphony Nights" bring audiences the sights and sounds of Houston's symphony.

  • June 17 - SCOTTISH FANTASY: Featuring Mendelssohn's The Hebrides, Bruch's Scottish Fantasy, and Brahms' Symphony No. 1
  • June 18 - DVOŘÁK AND TCHAIKOVSKY: Featuring Grieg's Morning Mood from Suite No. 1 from Peer Gynt, Dvořák's Cello Concerto, and Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 2, Little Russian
  • June 24 - THE FIREBIRD: Featuring Rogerson's Luminosity, Copland's Suite from Billy the Kid, S. Hyken's Refried Farandole, Stravinsky's Suite from The Firebird, and A. Marquez's Danzón No. 2
  • June 25 - PROKOFIEV'S FIFTH: Featuring Mozart's Overture to The Marriage of Figaro, a concerto to be announced, and Prokofiev's Symphony No. 5
  • July 4 - STAR-SPANGLED SALUTE: Selection of patriotic songs
