Houston Restaurant Week, established in 2003 by Cleverley Stone, showcases Houston's fine restaurants while raising money for the Houston Food Bank. Now called Houston Restaurant Weeks, it begins on Aug. 1 and extends through Sept. 2. In 2012, 170 restaurants teamed up to help fight hunger and raised more than $1.2 million through more than 250,000 meals served. 

During the fundraising drive, foodies throughout Houston get the opportunity to enjoy special chef-created, multi-course dinner menus for $35 or $45 per person, lunch for $20 per person and brunch from $20 or $35 per person (excluding beverages, tax and gratuity).

All participating restaurants donate between $3 to $7 per menu sold to the Houston Food Bank. This is a great opportunity for diners to experience new restaurants or revisit old favorites while helping to fight hunger in Houston.
