Houston Repertoire Ballet presents its spring 2019 performance, Celebration of Dance, featuring choreography by Victoria Vittum, Kristy Nilsson, and JoDee Engle, with music by John Philip Sousa, Aaron Copeland, Sergei Prokofiev, and Arvo Part.

Celebration of Dance features Rodeo, based on the original ballet by Agnes DeMille, with cowgirls and cowboys, boot-stomping dances, and raucous hoedowns. It will also have the premiere of Stone Palace Waltz by Kristy Nilsson, featuring artist-in-residence Claire White with music by Sergei Prokofiev; Remembrance, choreographed by JoDee Engle; and the finale, Stars & Stripes, choreographed by Artistic Director Victoria Vittum to well-known patriotic marches by John Philip Sousa.
