Houston Pride Band, Houston’s gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community band, will present its first-ever concert of chamber works featuring members of the band. The concert, Think Small, will feature several small ensembles, from a brass choir performing Mozart to a trio of bassoons performing video game music. The program will range from classical favorites, such as the overture to Gioachino Rossini’s “Barber of Seville,” to newer compositions by popular contemporary composers, such as Eric Whitacre. The program also includes a performance by Houston Pride Band’s own saxophone ensemble, SaxWorx.
