Houston New Arts Movement's will present The Spirit of Tango, the next venture in their “World Journeys” season. In each leg of the World Journeys season the ensemble explores the music, art and culinary experience of various cultures that make Houston the most ethnically diverse city in the nation,

Violinist Laura Cividino, pianist and founder Adam Vincent Clay, pianist Rachel McCarthy Clay and cellist Cony Tamez Ruiz bring to life the works of Astor Piazzola, Alberto Ginastera, and Gaspar Cassado. The composers featured honor the strong Spanish influence in our city and are from Argentina and Spain respectively. Rachel McCarthy Clay makes her debut with HNAM and with her education in Spanish and Piano Performance as well as Musicology, she brings a richness of understanding of the specific flavor of this concert.

True to HNAM’s mission, this concert presents classical works reaching out to traditional and well as new audiences framed in themes that give richer context to the work and incorporates visual art as well.  This season HNAM has tastes of the country available at each post concert artist reception as well.
