Schnittke's powerful and urgent music combines elements of jazz, traditional classical music, Russian folk music and many other styles to render a genre he called polystylism. Houston New Arts Movement members Melisa Rose, Patrick Moore, Melanie Riordan and Leah Gastler will be available after the concert to visit with the audience.
