The Museum Experience returns to showcase a trio of participating museums within an easily walkable four-block footprint. Families may participate in a variety of artful activities for all ages, go on a scavenger hunt, practice writing, and enjoy performances by Da Camera Young Artists.
The featured museums of Zone 1 are:
- The Menil Collection - An international museum destination in an urban park, with a permanent collection from the Prehistoric to the present day-and special exhibitions presented throughout the year.
- Rothko Chapel - A cultural landmark & sacred space dedicated to art, spirituality and human rights.
- Houston Center for Photography - HCP offers over 300 annual workshops for all levels of photographers and is dedicated to providing the community with lens-based exhibitions and education programs.
