Houston Metropolitan Dance Company: Quirky Works VIII

Houston Metropolitan Dance Company

Houston Metropolitan Dance Company and NobleMotion Dance bring a collection of pieces from seven recent works.

Houston Met Dance's program includes Semi-Detached by choreographer Kiki Lucas, swinging…in the dark by jhon r. stronks, Conscious by Jason McDole and the premiere of Cinco-Sin Nombre, featuring on five female company members by choreographer Paola Georgudis.

NobleMotion Dance performs Yield, an introspective love story for two dancers that ends on a surprising note; Following Aunt Joan, where five female dancers clad in little black dresses explore themes of sensuality, empathy and rivalry;  and Photo Box D, which illustrates the company’s seamless blend of technology and performance, with an original light installation by Jeremy Choate. The dancers perform in and around industrial fluorescent lights that allow them to “disappear” and “reappear” from the shadows and into the light.
