Laurence Shallenberger of the Houston Maritime Museum is presenting a history lecture on the Battle of the Atlantic. The Battle, the longest of the Second World War, was the ultimately successful attempt by the United States to prevent Britain from being defeated. Hundreds of supply convoys crossed the Atlantic Ocean to face storms, ice, and Nazi U-boats.
