Margarita-lovers will enjoy 16 different flavors of homemade margaritas, an array of local food, live music and dancing. The event will showcase a wide variety of local Mexican, barbecue, seafood and Cajun cuisine as well as a full schedule of live entertainment. 

Bands include: Thunderpants, Mambo Jazz Kings, Elvis and the Extraodinaires, Texas Brass Band and DJ Good Grief. The festival will include a salsa competition with free entry open to non-professional dance couples, judged by dance pros, Salsa Eddy and Crissy Poole. Festival goers can also enter or watch the limbo competition open to all festival attendees. 

The venue and ticket capacity this year is 15,000. The first 8,000 attendees will receive a commemorative Houston Margarita Festival cup.
