Houston Latin American Philharmonic presents "Mother's Day Serenade"

The Houston Latin American Philharmonic opens its first season with a concert titled "Mother's Day Serenade." The program includes En mi Viejo San Juan, Bachata Sinfønica, Comolombia Tierra Querida, Suite Venezuela and an homage to Mexican composer Don Agustin Lara.

The Houston Latin Phil is a professional orchestra comprising 50 musicians, the majority of them from Latin American background. The Houston Latin Phil is conducted by Glenn Garrido, chair of the music department at the University of St Thomas.
