Benefiting the Houston Greeters, a non-profit organizations that connects Houstonians with visitors and residents interested in learning more about the city, this celebration mixes local art, music, culinary delights and celebrity hats. The event will also include an art raffle ($100 per ticket) and a silent auction of hats donated by notable Houstonians.
The donated hats are part of Hats Off To Houston!, a celebrity online hat auction that started in December on eBay and will conclude with The Big Greet. Event Mayor Annise Parker contributed by donating a straw rancher's hat.
