Houston Greek Fest/Facebook [https://www.facebook.com/HoustonGreekFest]
For 18 years, the Greek Festival has brought a touch of Greece straight to the Bayou City. The annual event features live Greek music, authentic cuisine, live dancers, an outdoor marketplace, art, and plenty of family-friendly activities. One if the event's highlights is the gyro eating contest on May 19, 2 p.m., which is sanctioned by the International Federation of Competitive Eating.
Proceeds benefit the parish to fund the upkeep of the church, ministries and community activities.
