Houston Grand Opera’s community collaboration and education initiative, HGOco, presents the tale of The Princess and the Pea. The artists of HGOco’s touring Opera to Go! program will perform this 45-minute family-friendly opera live.

With music by Mary Carol Warwick and a libretto by Mary Ann Pendino, The Princess and the Pea tells the story of a brave princess who has faced off against dragons and ogres - but will a single pea be her greatest challenge yet? This operatic treatment of the classic Hans Christian Andersen tale features an unsteady prince, an overbearing queen, and a mountain of mattresses.
