Houston Grand Opera presents Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro

eventdetail
HGO

A comic opera based on a stage comedy by Pierre Beaumarchais, Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro is the first of three collaborations between Mozart and Da Ponte. The continuation of The Barber of Seville three years later, Mozart tells the story of one day of madness through the clever manipulations of the witty and likable protagonists. Young American conductor James Gaffigan makes his HGO debut and brings a refreshing and spirited interpretive approach.
