The story is rich with regional imagery by Horton Foote, the legendary Texas playwright and author. Houston Grand Opera's 52nd world premiere, A Coffin in Egypt is by composer Ricky Ian Gordon and librettist Leonard Foglia.
The cast also includes David Matranga and Carolyn Johnson.
