Houston Gilbert and Sullivan Society presents The Pirates of Penzance

The Houston Gilbert and Sullivan Society will present an audience favorite, The Pirates of Penzance. This comedic opera is the story of Frederic, a young man who has finished his apprenticeship to a band of noble pirates. When he is forced to choose between keeping his word and being with his newfound love Mabel, what will become of him? How will Mabel’s father, a Major-General, react when encountered by pirates?

Director Alistair Donkin returns as Major General Stanley, with the cast and orchestra under the baton of Dr. Brian Runnels.
