The Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) is committed to taking a stance on the greater Houston area’s crippling traffic through strengthening alternative commuting solutions across an eight-county region. H-GAC’s Commute Solutions will then kick off Commute Solutions Month with a campaign launch aimed at connecting and engaging with commuters and employers across an eight-county region [Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Liberty, Montgomery and Waller counties]. The festival will serve as an education and registration hub for commuters on transportation options and accessibility.
Through innovative and tactful strategies, the festival will offer an engaging experience for commuters, inclusive of entertainment, games, food, and giveaways aimed at changing the perception of transportation alternatives and stimulating the adoption of commute solutions programs. The rally is designed to facilitate the adoption of alternative modes of transportation. H-GAC, alternative commuting organizations, and elected officials will converge in to encourage extraordinary change through strategic transportation choices.
