They are the "rock stars of Renaissance Music," according to the New York Times. The famed Tallis Scholars return to the Houston Friends of Chamber Music concert series after ten years.

The group will present its "Love is Better than Wine" program, framed by two brilliant double choir settings of the Magnificat: One Spanish, Vivanco's Magnificat Octavi Toni (a 8), the other German, H. Praetorius's Magnificat, including Carols Joseph Lieber and In Dulci Jubilo. This program features the unforgettable setting of Osculetur Me, taken from the Song of Songs, by Lassus. This program also includes two motets by contemporary composer Arvo Pärt, I Am the True Vine and Tribute to Caesar, followed by Tallis' Sancte Deus.
