One of the most successful chamber music ensembles in the United States, Grammy nominated Imani Winds has carved out its own path by bridging European, American, African and Latin American traditions. This evening's program is a mix of classic, contemporary and folk-inspired works, including Stravinsky's Rite of Spring, Mendelssohn's Scherzo from Midsummer Night's Dream, Ravel's Le Tombeau de Couperin, Shaheen's Dance Mediterranea, Coleman's Tzigane and Husa's Five Poems.
