Arguably the best-known brass quintet, the Canadian Brass is as close to a household name as any ensemble in chamber music. The first full-time touring brass quintet when formed in 1970, the musicians have thrilled audiences around the world through live performances and scores of recordings, covering an extensive repertoire of brass standards from the baroque and classical eras as well as commissioned original works and their own arrangements, which have considerably broadened the brass quintet repertoire.
