The Emerson String Quartet's final concert with cellist David Finckel marks the first member change in 34 years for what Time Magazine calls "America's greatest Quartet..." Cellist Paul Watkins replaces Finckel at the end of the 2012-2013 concert season. The all-romantic program being presented includes Dvořák’s Quartet No. 9 in D Minor, Op. 34, Schumann's Quartet in A Major, Op. 41/3 and Grieg's Quartet in G Minor, Op. 27.
