The Houston Fire Department Val Jahnke Training Facility teams up with the nonprofit organization Firefighters Helping Firefighters, which was created in the aftermath of a tragedy as a way to assist firefighters and their families in their time of need. The group provides assistance to injured, sick firefighters and their families who are burdened with extensive hospital stays, medical expenses, treatment expenses and funeral costs.
