Trio Sonnerie

English violinist and conductor Monica Huggett, viola da gamba virtuoso Emilia Benjamin and harpsichordist James Johnstone make up Trio Sonneire, Huggett's longest-running small chamber music ensemble. The trio presents a contrasting program featuring one of Heinrich Ignaz Franz Biber’s Mystery Sonatas for virtuoso violin, French music for viola da gamba, tunes from Jacobean England and a sonata for violin and harpsichord by J.S. Bach.

Gregory Barnett will lead a pre-concert lecture at 6:45 p.m.
