Houston Cinema Arts Society and the Texas Independent Film Network , a project of Austin Film Society, will screen Hands on a Hard Body, the last film in the partnership's series of films by Texans. The film's director, Robb Bindler, will introduce his documentary and participate in a Q&A session immediately following the screening.

Hands on a Hard Body is a 1997 cult classic, humorously following contestants in Longview who are competing for a Nissan truck. The annual event is a contest of endurance and sleep-deprivation — whoever can remain standing the longest with one hand on the truck will get to drive it home.
