Houston Chamber Choir presents "Hear the Future"

eventdetail

The Houston Chamber Choir welcomes three extraordinary choirs to its annual invitational choral festival. This year’s guests are The Rice School Elementary Honors Choir, the Spring Oaks Middle School Choir and the Bellaire High School Choir. The ensemble will debut a movement from a new work for choir and marimba, "Hora Stellatrix" (Hour of Stars), by composer and Houston Chamber Choir tenor Dominick DiOrio, featuring marimba soloist Stephen Tobin. The movement is from DiOrio's extended cantata-concerto, A Dome of Many-Coloured Glass, inspired by the words of Imagist poet Amy Lowell.
