The Houston Chamber Choir will present the 20th anniversary celebration of Hear the Future, an annual event in which the company invites three outstanding choirs from the Greater Houston area to participate in its invitational choral festival. The featured choirs serve to acknowledge and encourage high standards for all school choirs. Thousands of students from more than 40 of the area's finest school choral programs have participated in Hear the Future.
This year, Houston Chamber Choir presents the Kinder HSPVA Chorale from Houston ISD directed by Shannon Carter; Tompkins High School Chorale from Katy ISD directed by Christin Reinartz; and the North Shore Senior High School Chorale in Galena Park ISD, directed by Enrique Collazo. Hear the Future gives audience members a chance to show their support and appreciation for the outstanding work being done by music educators and their talented singers.
