The dinner, catered by the River Oaks Country Club, raises awareness and funds for Houston A+ Challenge, which since 1997 has served as a catalyst for positive change and improvement in public schools. The gathering, presented by H-E-B, includes a raffle with exciting prizes (winners do not need to be present to win).

The event will honor Chevron for taking a lead in bringing together educators and community leaders to learn about innovative and effective approaches for strengthening public education, and recently retired State Rep. Scott Hochberg and State Sen. Florence Shapiro for steering the complicated process of crafting education policy.
