The Houston Center for Photography will be holding its largest annual fundraiser, HCP’s 2013 Print Auction, a chance for photography collectors to duke it out for their favorite print. Taking place on Feb. 20 at the Junior League of Houston, attendees will have their pick of more than 80 different prints by a variety of local, national and internationally renowned photographers.

Among the 84 prints donated to the auction by artists, galleries, and collectors from across the globe are pieces by some of the most influential and highly praised photographers in the world, and represent an impressive catalog of both vintage and contemporary fine art prints. Featured artists include Ansel Adams, Hiroshi Sugimoto, Michael Kenna, Richard Misrach and William Wegman, as well as gold-plated palladium prints by Dan Burkholder, iconic Texan photography by Geoff Winningham and a striking landscape from Brett Weston.

From the exhibition's opening and running until auction night, individuals can submit absentee bids both in person and online, as well as purchase the prints featured in the Silent Auction at a "buy it now" price.

The evening includes cocktails, entertainment and a preview of the silent and live auctions. Following the seated dinner, celebrated auctioneer Rick Wester will conduct the live auction of prints. Throughout the evening, guests will also have additional opportunities to outbid each other in the silent auction.

One hundred percent of the sales will benefit Houston Center for Photography's continued programming, exhibitions, education, outreach and publications.
