Houston Center for Contemporary Craft will recognize Ellen Susman, a woman who has made a global impact through the arts in service to her country, at the annual Crafting a Legacy Spring Luncheon. As the U.S. Department of State’s Director of Art in Embassies from 2013-2016, Susman devoted her time, energy, and passion to cultural diplomacy through the arts. With a keen understanding of how art can transcend borders and foster dialogue, her leadership guided the program as it represented the U.S. to the world.

The Spring Luncheon program will include remarks by Edward Djerejian, Ellen Susman, and HCCC Executive Director Perry Price. Guests will have the opportunity to bid on artworks made by HCCC former resident artists in the silent auction and purchase centerpiece objects from Asher Gallery. All proceeds benefit Houston Center for Contemporary Craft.
