Houston Center for Contemporary Craft will present Craft Social, a night of making and exploring contemporary craft over conversation and refreshments.

With the current exhibition, "Head Gear," as their inspiration, this event will explore the transformative properties of makeup. Discover how Houston makeup artist Sarah Ali, of Chamak Cosmetics, uses cosmetics and tools to transform faces. Learn a range of makeup tricks and techniques, from changing your eye shape with liner to creating a whimsical mask-like look.

Ali will demonstrate ways to enhance your best features, as well as give out tips for you to incorporate into your own makeup routine. After you watch Ali’s presentation, get creative by making and customizing your own lip balm with various colors, scents, and even sparkle.
