Houston Camerata presents Rossini's Stabat Mater

Houston Camerata will perform Rossini's Stabat Mater, a masterwork that is rarely performed nowadays. Rossini is a composer of some of the world's most beloved operas, including Barber of Seville. He also wrote two major sacred pieces late in his life, the Stabat Mater and the Petite Messe Solennelle. The concert will feature high caliber musicians: Amanda Kingston, soprano; Teresa Procter, mezzo-soprano; Angelo Ferrari, tenor; Eric Delagrange, bass; Julie Saks, piano; and Paulo Gomes, conductor.
