After a 20-year career with the Houston Ballet, principal dancer Barbara Bears will give her final performance at this year's Jubilee of Dance.
The sixth-annual event will coincide with Houston Ballet's 40th anniversary, with a new pièce d'occasion written by artistic director Stanton Welch to premiere featuring all 53 company dancers.
Excerpts of classics and previews of new works will also be performed, as well as an encore performance of William Forsythe's The Vertiginous Thrill of Exactitude.
