Balanchine drew inspiration from Claude Arpels’ visionary jewelry designs to create his French evocative Emeralds set to Gabriel Fauré; Rubies, that epitomizes his collaboration with Igor Stravinsky; and Diamonds, set to Pyotr Ilych Tchaikovsky.
