Houston Ballet presents an evening of ballet displaying the company's growth and talent since Stanton Welch joined as artistic director in 2003. The program will include works choreographed by Welch that continue to engage and inspire audiences. Included will be his new ballet Sons de l'ame, which premiered last fall in Paris, and the classic tutu ballet Paquita. Set to the music of Ludwig Minkus and performed live by Houston Ballet's orchestra, Paquita tells the story of a young Spanish Gypsy girl.

This program will highlight the company's artistic versatility and technical prowess supporting its international acclaim as one of the finest classical companies in the world.

This is a ticketed event for the covered seating area. Free tickets are available (four per person over age 16, while they last) at the Miller Outdoor Theatre box office the day of the performance between 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. If tickets remain at 1 p.m., the box office will re-open one hour before show time to distribute the remaining tickets. Open seating on the hill is always available.
