Houston Ballet II and the San Francisco Ballet School Trainee Program will join forces for a unique collaboration. A group of 12 young dancers from SFBS, accompanied by associate director Patrick Armand, will travel to Houston for a week to take classes, rehearse and learn a series of ballets with Houston Ballet II, Houston Ballet's second company.

The two groups will perform the works that they have been rehearsing in a public performance in the Margaret Alkek Williams Dance Laboratory at Houston Ballet Center for Dance.

Houston Ballet II will dance Stanton Welch's Blue, set to music by Antonio Vivaldi, while the SFBS Trainees will perform Stone and Steel choreographed by Myles Thatcher to music by Michael Nyman and Yann Tiersen. The two groups will also join together to perform Stanton Welch's demanding 2006 neoclassical work Brigade, set to Benjamin Britten's Soirees musicales and Matinees musicales.
