Houston Audubon will present a Purple Martin Watch Party to witness the miracle of migration. In the summer months, Purple Martins gather in large numbers before heading to their wintering grounds in South America. They spend their days feeding on flying insects to fuel up for their long journey, and come together to roost at night, sometimes in groups of up to 500,000. Visitors can stop by the info table to chat with staff and volunteers about Purple Martins and their migration.
The watch party will take place in the parking lot next to the Old Navy outlet in Stafford.
