The 25th Annual Race Against Violence, hosted by the Houston Area Women's Center, helps raise awareness of rape, sexual assault and domestic violence in the Houston community. The race is run by both competitive and fun runners, walkers, teenagers and tots. For children 11 and under, there is a Kids Fun Run where all participants receive a T-shirt, an official race bib and a finishing medal.
The 5K race and walk begins at 8 a.m. at the Houston Area Women's Center, and the Kids Fun Run begins at 8:30 a.m.
