The Houston Area Women's Center will host its 27th annual Race Against Violence, presented by Verizon. This event includes a competitive 5K run and walk, a Kids Fun Run, and a post-event family festival on the AIG Campus at Whole Foods - Montrose.

It's also a chance for the community to join together and let survivors of domestic and sexual violence know that they are not alone. The 5K race will begin promptly at 8 a.m. at the Houston Area Women's Center (1010 Waugh Dr.), and the Kids Fun Run will begin at approximately 8:30 a.m.  

Limited free race day parking will be available on the back surface lots of the AIG Campus (enter off of West Dallas St.).

Online registration is available through 5 p.m. on March 4. There is also a "stay in bed" registration option at $25 for participants who want to support the event or fundraise without attending on race day. All registered participants will receive a race T-shirt.
